Inspired by the colonial architecture of the Yucatan Peninsula, GITANO Jungle Room in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood offers modern take on Mexican and Mayan cuisine alongside unique tropical libations, with a menu developed by Michelin-starred, Consulting Chef Mads Refslund in collaboration with Head Chef Yvan Lemoine.

Taking up two floors at the James New York in SoHo, Gitano Jungle Room focuses on a tropical-theme and brings a a taste of Tulum and the colonial towns of the Yucatán Peninsula to New York City with an elevated in-door experience. In addition to unique cocktails made with imported mezcal that adds a new level of sophistication, Jungle Bar also serves Mexico and Mayan inspired menu.
Small Plates
The Calabaza is made with cubed butternut squash and then topped with pepitas, grape fruits, and micro greens. The Ceviche of fresh fluke is seasoned perfectly with citrus and accompanied by cucumber chunks, sliced radishes, and avocado.
Large Plates
Shared family-style and perfect for sharing, the Large Plates at GITANO Jungle Room includes your choice of protein, such as the vegetarian friendly Pot Roasted Cauliflower, Brook Trout wrapped in Banana Leaf, Fire-Roasted Organic Chicken, Carne Asada, and Crispy Duckling Barbacoa. Don't forget to add a side of tacos, which comes with warm tortillas, lettuce wraps, salsa, and herbs.
