The Seasonal Parfait from Momoya SoHo has been posted all over social media - from TikTok to Instagram. I finally got a chance to try it myself, and it certainly did not disappoint.
As beautiful as it is delicious, the Seasonal Parfait from Momoya SoHo is a must-order item. Don't underestimate this intricate dessert - it is a true work of art. The layers of foams, jellies, mochi, sorbet, and more in the parfait is outlined in detail with booklets that show all the ingredients.
The restaurant's pastry chef Norie Uematsu assembles each parfait using Japanese ingredients and techniques. Each season brings new flavors and themes.
The Fall Parfait, named "Koyo," featured all the seasonal ingredients that represent autumn. On top of the wine glass were cassis beets macaron, pumpkin momiji tuile cookies, mont blanc chestnut cake, champagne mousse with pear sansho gelee, fresh fig, berry nerikiri bunny, and black sesame puff sticks all laid on top of almond daquoise cake.
Inside the wine glass were hoji tea espuma foam, a scoop each of pear tonka sorbet and pecan white mitarashi ice cream, cassis shiratama mochi, chocolate crumble, fresh blackberry, spiced custard cream, and kokuto umeshu cranberry jelly.
I am already looking forward to trying the next seasonal parfait!
