One of the biggest food festivals in the country, the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Coca-Cola (NYCWFF) returns this fall to celebrate its 10th anniversary. During the 4-day festival, guests can choose from more than 70 events - 100% of the net proceeds benefit the hunger-relief organizations Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry®. To date, NYCWFF has raised more than $10 million to support the fight to end hunger.
1. Dinner with Jean-Georges Vongerichten
The famed Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will whip up his culinary magic at his West Village restaurant Perry St. Along with his son Cédric, the executive chef of Perry St, Jean-Georges will prepare a unique tasting menu inspired by "Bangkok, 1980." Enjoy Michelin-starred cuisine in an intimate setting and experience an exclusive tasting menu that can only be experienced at NYCWFF.
2. Smorgasburg
Experience Brooklyn’s celebrated outdoor market in Manhattan for one night only. Smorgasburg, a weekly, outdoor celebration featuring specialty purveyors from New York and the surrounding region, is headed to NYCWFF for an unforgettable evening. Sip on carefully curated cocktails and savor an endless and delicious array of Smorgasburg’s most popular offerings. Some of America’s most discerning palates from the cast of Chopped will serve as the evening’s hosts to kick off this 10th anniversary party.
3. Ladies' Night: Craft Cocktails and Big Bites
Hosted by Food Network star Anne Burrell and the women of the nationally known cocktail competition Speed Rack, this event celebrates the famous femmes of food and drink. The event brings together the most creative and innovative women in mixology to whip up some of the fiercest cocktails in town, paired with the perfect bites from superstar local and regional female chefs. Dance the night away to the tunes of DJ CherishTheLuv in the trendy Meatpacking District at an event honoring some of the brightest stars in the cocktail and culinary worlds.
4. Pie vs. Cake
Put your sweet tooth to the test at Pie vs. Cake, where you actually don't need to decide between the two - you can have both! Food Network’s Duff Goldman will serve as referee in the ultimate dessert debate of pie vs. cake, along with a star-studded panel of expert judges, including chocolatier Jacques Torres, cookbook author and television personality Kathy Wakile and renowned cake designer Margaret Braun. Whether you prefer your sweet treat to be a filled crust or spongy, icing-covered cake - or land somewhere in the middle with cheesecake - you won’t want to miss out on this sweet late night event where you’ll taste the most delicious desserts that NYC’s best bakers have to offer.
5. Late Night Adventures in Dean & DeLuca
Dean & DeLuca, the city’s destination for gourmet foods, will open late for one night only to celebrate its 40th Anniversary. Here is your exclusive chance to sneak into Dean & DeLuca’s SoHo location after-hours to experience the store like you never have before, complete with unlimited access to the delicious food and beverages throughout the store, the chance to hang out with culinary expert and television personality Gail Simmons, surprise entertainment and DJ Hannah Bronfman to keep the tunes spinning all night.
6. Donut Making Master Class
At this intimate, hands-on class, Chef Scott Levine reveals the magic behind his divine donuts. 7. Street Eats
Take it to the streets with NYCWFF at Street Eats hosted by Ghetto Gastro and snack on the best street food NYC has to offer. Jon Gray, Pierre Serrao, Lester Walker and Malcolm Livingston II make up the culinary collective known as Ghetto Gastro and are leading a culinary cultural revolution in the Bronx. At this event, find all of your favorite local food trucks, street carts and stands under one roof, offering all your favorite NYC classics: hot dogs, doughnuts, pierogies, dumplings, tacos and more. Take it back to New York’s iconic street scene heyday with a DJ spinning classic hip hop and graffiti installations by local NYC artists. 8. Oyster Bash
Celebrate the sea with Adam Richman, host of Travel Channel's Man vs. Food and Barnegat Oyster Collective. Spend the afternoon with artisanal oyster farmers who will be on hand shucking and serving their delicious delicacies. Taste unique preparations from some of NY’s most renowned seafood chefs. Don’t forget to stop at the Forty North Shucking Station to learn how to shuck oysters on your own, and immediately taste the fruits of your labor on the spot! To complement the outdoors and oysters, guests will snack on The Standard Grill’s famous french fries while sipping Modelo, sparkling wine and bloody marys.
9. Dale Talde Brunch
Seasoned restaurateur and Top Chef veteran Dale Talde teams up with Alvin Cailan, the creator of Los Angeles’ latest cult favorite Eggslut to bring you the ultimate bottomless brunch, complete with drag queen hosts, photo booth and a DJ dance party. You will enjoy a Filipino-inspired morning meal that’s sure to wake up your tastebuds. Special appearances by Prince Powderpouffe and Fifi DuBois will round out the rowdy and raucous afternoon.
10. Korean Cuisine Master Class
