A Night In The Tulum Jungle, Right Here In NYC At GITANO Garden Of Love

While the unprecedented pandemic in 2020 put a dent to many travel plans this year, restless New Yorkers can still transport themselves to Tulum at GITANO Garden of Love and soak in the Tulum vibes at this trendy restaurant.

Nestled in the heart of New York City's Hudson Square neighborhood, GITANO Garden of Love is a trendy, Tulum-inspired outdoor restaurant that opened for its 3rd season this year. The venue specializes in herbaceous, Mexican and Mayan inspired plates and cocktails in a tropical urban paradise with palm trees, a reflecting pool, meditation labyrinth, urban farm, coffee shop, and more.

COCKTAILS

The expansive cocktail menu highlights favorite Mexican liquors like Mezcal and tequila. Try the refreshing Mexican Mule, a conction of Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Tequila Tromba Blanco, lime, cucumber, ginger beer, and rosemary. For something on the sweeter side, the Garden Rose with Patron Silver Tequila, St. Germain, lemon rose essence, and Louis Pommery sparkling is a must. The all-time favorite is the Jungle Fever made with Gem and Bolt Mezcal, chile, lime, and cilantro with a spicy rim.

Finally the Truffle Tlayuda with Oxaca cheese, huitlacoche, micro epazote, black truffle on crispy corn tlayuda with minced jalapeno is an interesting twist on your traditional pizza.

ENTREES

New to the fall menu is the Roasted Cauliflower, which features a whole roasted cauliflower over a bed of red sauce, and topped with micro greens and pickled onion. The cauliflower is perfectly roasted with slightly charred exterior. Another great addition is the Branzino Steamed in Banana Leaf. The fish is topped with diced pineapple and cilantro, and served with a side of tortillas for make-your-own fish tacos.

End the dining experience on a sweet note with Jalapeno Chocolate Cake with avocado cream, Panna Cotta with passion fruit, or Churros with smoked agave caramel and chocolate jalapeno dipping sauces.
