For the 38th year, the New York Road Runners organized the annual Midnight Run. Fireworks lit up the sky at midnight to start off the 4-Mile race, which featured nearly 5,000 runners including elite athletes.

Both participants and spectators of the NYRR Midnight Run were invited to a celebration at Tavern On The Green, an iconic restaurant in Central Park. The celebration began with a pre-race buffet dinner, drinks, and music with views of the fireworks and continued throughout the night with late night snacks and music.
