Ophelia, a new rooftop lounge located in the historic Beekman Tower in Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood, opened its doors to the public. The iconic space was created in collaboration between Merchants Hospitality and Public Agenda as an opulent cocktail lounge that revives the building’s original charm and celebrating its eclectic past.

Open year-round, the cocktail lounge is located 26-stories above the bustle of the city and offers a unique vantage point with 360-degree views of the East River and Manhattan skyline.
Headed by seasoned Mixologist Amir Babayoff, the bar program includes a two-part menu featuring reinventions of classic cocktails and signature cocktails inspired by the natural elements and the glory of the lounge during its heyday in the 1920s and 30s. Some of the must haves are Far East Side (shiso infused mizu shocuh, tanqueray gin, yuzu, and yellow chartreuse) and Top of the Tower (Pedro Ximenez Sherry, campari, plum bitters, and villa sandi prosecco rose)
Pair the drinks with delicious food menus designed by Executive Chef Stephen Putnam, who sources ingredients from local and international artisans, farmers and fishmongers to create an elevated and refined culinary voyage. Dishes include Truffle Fries topped with truffle pecarino, chives, and truffle aioli, Trio of toasts of super lump crab salad, smoked sturgeon, and smoked salmon, as well as a heartier option like Prime Beef Tenderloin wrapped in bacon.
