During a weekend visit to Newport, I got to stay at a new boutique hotel The Wayfinder. Here are some of the things I loved about this hotel.

Developed by hotelier Phil Hospod of Dovetail + Co and designed by New York-based Reunion Goods and Services, The Wayfinder spotlights the work of local bartenders, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs in colorful, well-curated spaces that feel like a friend’s beach
house, all the while evoking the rocky Atlantic coastline.
Delicious in-house DINING
With retro vibes, riffs on coastal classics, and cocktails simply done right—Nomi Park is the perfect neighborhood hangout where you can explore Newport’s latest culinary delight. Some of my favorites include Fries tossed in yellow curry and served with cilantro aioli, Mafalde pasta with braised short rib, and Crab salad with spicay napa slaw, green apple, and everything crust.
Space, space, and SPACE!
The rooms at The Wayfinder are huge! With a palette of coastal colors, theseour spacious rooms and suites - ranging from the 'smallest' King Room at 312 square feet, all the way to The Wayfinder Suite at 829 square feet - offer custom furnishings, vintage finds, and local touches.
Ahhh, all the COMFORT
You will feel like a royalty with all the in-room and guest amenities you can enjoy. The beds are lined in luxury linens with Matouk Terry and bed throws. Each room features a collection of local art. After a sweaty workout at the hotel's fitness center featuring stationary bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, and variety of weights, take a relaxing bath with Newport-based Shore Co. toiletries.
