Bland Food at the Ikuai Yacht Club

It has been too long since I last updated the blog! Now I have a lot of backed up posts...To start off, we went to a restaurant at the Ikuai Yacht Club about 5 minutes away from our villa. It took us a while to find the stairs that led to the restaurant on the second floor.
Very simple table setting that for some reason gave off the vibe of a beach club.
I had grilled shrimp "diabla," which basically meant the spicy red sauce on top. It had a bowl of jasmine rice underneath.
The food was quite bland. I had to season it with lots of salt. The shredded summer squash and carrots were sauteed in light oil.
The shrimp was quite plump, but the main problem with the dish was the sauce. Contrary to what it said on the menu, the sauce wasn't that spicy, but rather sweet. I think they mixed Mexican hot sauce and ketchup together, but the ratio was highly favored towards the ketchup...
Audrey had the same dish, but in garlic sauce.
Tortilla soup with fried tortilla, sour cream, avocado, fresh cheese, and fried chili. Apparently it was way too creamy and didn't taste authentic at all.
Teo's salad: shrimp, octopus, scallops with lettuce and creamy roasted garlic and tomato and liquid smoke dressing.
Marlins Tacos with red onions. The taco had weirdly red fish meat inside with a drizzle of spicy mayo on top.
Beef fajitas with vegetables, mushrooms, and mozarella cheese served with tortillas and guacamole
It looked greasy...
