Restaurant Week at Henrietta's Table: Cod Cake and Salmon Burger

Although I could not enjoy Boston's biannual Restaurant Week--a two-week period during which gourmet restaurants in the greater Boston area offer prix fixe lunch and dinner at a discount price--due to an overwhelming amount of work after Spring Break, I still had to take advantage of the great prices before the event ended. On the second to last day, I went to Henrietta's Table for a 2-course lunch (~$15).
We could select one appetizer and one main dish from the menu. I started with Cod Cake with Tarter Sauce and Preserved Lemon & Native Vegetable Slaw. I asked the waiter to pan fry it with less oil. The presentation of the dish wasn't too impressive, and I wish there had been a lemon wedge on the side for the extra sourness with the cod cake. The surface was nice and crispy, while the inside was moist and I could taste the flavor of the fish. The tarter sauce had cubes of celery that added nice, crunchy texture. The side salad was nothing too exciting.
My friend had the Maine Rock Crab and Corn Chowder with Smoked Bacon. It was served in a black stone pot. Since I don't eat pork, I didn't taste the soup. The soup looked really thick.
For my entree, I decided to get the Seared King Salmon Burger with Baby Greens, Lemon Herb Vinaigrette, and Spicy Tartar Sauce. It looked more like a plate of salad with salmon pattie and a piece of bun on top. I am glad the tarter sauce was served on the side so that I could control how much to put in to the dish.
Like the cod cake, the salmon pattie was seared perfect on the surface. It had crispy edges with moist inside full of juicy salmon flavor. Can you spot the wedge of lemon too? ;)
The burger was quite difficult and messy to eat. The amount of greens was a bit overwhelming, and I should have asked to skip the dressing because it was too oily for my liking. Overall, I think I got a great deal for $15 lunch
