 Located at the cobblestone corner of Bank and Greenwich Streets in the West Village, the Mary Lane is a seasonal American neighborhood restaurant serving locally sourced food in an inviting setting.

Chef and owner Mike Price features his signature market-based fare in a bright, airy dining room at The Mary Lane in West Village. I had an opportunity to enjoy its farm-to-table menu highlighting seasonally inspired dishes.

Grilled Spring Onion and Potato Focaccia

I saw everyone at the restaurant had at least one order of this scrumptious focaccia, so I couldn't resist my vow to minimize carb intake. The Grilled Spring Onion and Potato Focaccia had the perfect crispiness and fluffiness of a focaccia. It tasted even more heavenly when dipped in salted olive oil.

Jonah Crab Roll

A menu that came highly recommended by our server, the Jonah Crab Roll is a gluten-free twist on a sushi roll with crab meat wrapped in thin slices of avocado, and topped with marinated cucumber, dill, jalapeno, trout roe, and green radish. This was a refreshing appetizer perfect for the summer season.

Trout Tartare

Another standout was the special appetizer of the day. Fresh pieces of raw trout is mixed in aioli and topped with caviar for the perfect duo of indulgence.

Herbed Risotto

Risotto typically tends to be a bit too heavy, but this delectable Herbed Risotto with grilled spring onions, pea shoots, and roasted white asparagus was perfection.

Grilled Shogun Maitakes

Of all the mushroom varieties in the world, my personal favorite is the maitakes. When I saw this item on the menu, I did not hesitate to order -- and glad I did! The perfectly grilled maitakes sat on top of creamy avocado mousse with pea and fava salad. Holding all these is the toasted sticky rice, which added a nice crunchy texture to the dish. Don't be shy about licking off the plate because the tomato vinaigrette is absolutely divine.
